I have been fiddling around for fun with Ultimate Vocal Remover 5 lately

    https://github.com/Anjok07/ultimatevocalremovergui/releases/tag/v5.5.0

but the problem is, from being a simple tiny application it is rapidly growing into a major resource whoring jungle program! While the GUI is pretty intuitive and simple the problem comes with the growing choice of "model" files ... there are way too many of them different ones to choose

everyone claims for it to be the best ever , but to me RipX is much easier to use and it gives great results too!

What is your UVR5 settings and what are your best results?

    TIA

I don't understand the "too many choices" argument. Just pretend that Demucs 4-stem is the only option. Problem solved.

what makes Demucs 4-stem be the best over all others then?

It's not. But it does work generally well, and eliminates any anxiety about other options.

My point is that you can't select the stem engine in Rip-X, so just tie your own hands and stick to Demucs in UVR5.

    Under MDX-Net:
    - I use Kim vocal 1 Vocals Only for acapella
    - Reverb HQ No Othe Only to clean up the acapella
    - Inst HQ 3 Instrumenal Only to isolate the instrumental

    Under Ensemble Mode :
    - I use Kim Vocal 1 + Karaoke 1 + Karaoke 2 to try and separate lead vocal from background vocals

This is my workflow and so far i've had better results than RipX

I have a noob question since it's mainly for vocals, can you separate stems by elements, ex. drums only...?

    Hello,
I'm not sure yet what UVR5 settings are best. I've been trying get the guitar separated from the synthesizer/keyboard sounds. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks

RipX. if you want an easy to use program with best results. No website, no GPU/Cuda.
